EBC (Everest Base Camp) Trek - 14 Days
Mount Everest Base Camp has been a popular destination for trekkers since the very first expeditions to the Nepalese side of Everest in the 1953. To reach this part of the Himalaya within a limited time, we have devised this two week trek to Everest Base Camp which runs directly to and from Lukla.
The Everest Base Camp trek, a very well known mountain trek, starts at the Lukla and follows the Dudh Kosi valley which climbs up to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazzar, a bustling bazaar that’s a junction for trekkers, the local Sherpa and expeditions route to the mighty Mt. Everest. All along this part of the trail, villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs. In both the early autumn and late spring, the flowers on this portion of the trek make it the kind of walk you will remember for a long, long time.
From Namche, we trek along a high traversing path where we have our first good views of Everest and then head towards Thyangboche Monastery, which is a 2 hour climb. The monastery sits at 3867m in a clearing surrounded by dwarf firs and rhododendrons. The monastery is structurally located on a ridge top with commanding views of the Everest landscape. The view from this spot, seen to best advantage in the morning, is absolutely mesmerizing and stunning and is rightly deemed to be one of the most magnificent in the world.
We then descend to the Imja Khola and continue to the villages of Pangboche and Pheriche before finally approaching the Khumbu Glacier. We then follow the glacier, first to Lobuche, a vantage point for some spectacular views of the Ama Dablam, Taweche and other peaks and then hike to Gorak Shep for a breather.
We also have the opportunity to ascend Kala Patthar (5554m) from where we can get some awesome views of the Himalayan giants which literally numb your senses with breathless admiration that beholds the eye; and makes up for the lung-bursting climb that took you up there. You soon realize it was absolutely worth it. This also includes fantastic views of the south west face of the colossal Mt. Everest. We then trek down to Everest Base Camp at the foot of the Khumbu ice fall before finally making our way back down to Lukla.
Maximum Elevation: 5545 mtrs.

Restricted Area Trekking
There are many parts of Nepal into which the entry of foreigners is strictly controlled and you either cannot get a permit for those regions or must travel with a liaison officer and pay for a special permit. Some areas specifically closed to foreigners. When planning your trek, assume that these areas will remain closed. Don't count on a last-minute change in the rules. Police check posts are numerous in the hills and police will turn you back if you try to trek into a restricted area. Officially there are no longer any restricted areas in Nepal. The immigration office rules now state that "trekkers are not allowed to trek in the notified areas previously known as restricted". Rather than get involved in all this semantic complication, the term "restricted" is used here to refer to places that are closed to trekkers, or open to trekkers only when accompanied by a Government register trekking company. There are many reasons why the restricted areas exist. In most cases, it is a hangover from a time when the border with China was more sensitive than it is now. Environmental groups, particularly the Nepal Nature Conservation Society, are pressuring the government to keep some places closed for ecological reasons to avoid both cultural and environmental degradation. Because trekkers require assistance when something goes wrong (accident, illness or theft), the government restricts some areas because it doubts that it could provide the security that trekkers need. There are also political reasons for some restrictions. In the 1970s, for example, the Jomsom trek was closed because a major foreign-aided military operation had been mounted there in support of the Khampas in Tibet. There are many influences on the decision to open or close certain parts of Nepal to foreigners. Recent changes have liberalized both trekking and climbing, and there is considerable pressure to open more areas to trekkers. Himalayan leaders are here for you to make all the arrangement, safety and arrange sufficient tours in this region.
Manasalu Trekking - 22 Days
The main journey here is around Manasalu, reaching north of the Himalayas and circling the great Manasalu-Himalchuli-Buddha massif. Since Manasalu is a special area for trekkers and was only officially opened from 1991 onwards for trekking. Since then, the region has been opened up for organized groups. The major trekking seasons are between March-May and September-November. It needs special permits. Three-week complete treks will give you an exciting, adventurous and once in a life time experience. The seven Villages Development Committees (the smallest political unit) within the conservation area are: Sama, Lho, Prok, Bihi, Chumchet, Chhekampar and Sirdibas covering 1,663sq.km. Over 9,000 local inhabitants reside here and their main occupation is marginal agriculture, animal husbandry and seasonal migration for labor and trade during the winter months.
The region offers visitors a glimpse of pristine natural and cultural traditions that are fast disappearing from other parts of Nepal. Due to the prolonged isolation and contact with other urban people, the major ethnic groups, the Bhotiyas still have a strong sense of attachment towards their traditional local culture and rich natural heritage. The region harbors a mosaic of habitats for 33 species of mammals, including the elusive snow leopard, musk deer, Himalayan Thar, Blue sheep, with over 110 species of birds, 11 species of butterflies and 3 species of reptiles. There are approx 200 species of plants, 11 types of forests and over 100 species of useful plants. The bio-climatic zones vary from sub-tropical to Nival. This trek starts from Gorkha, home to legendry Gorkha soldiers and follows the meandering Budhi Gandaki River of the Daraudi River before reaching Larkya Pass (5,106 m) and crossing over into Manang district of ACAP. The altitude rises from a Mere (600 m.) to the summit of Mt. Manasalu (8,163 m.), the eight highest peak in the world.

In a week to ten days, any one can visit one of these areas by crossing high mountain passes. A three-week trip could cover all the three areas.
